Reef Ranger 1.0 - Surf Hat + Protection - M/L Not only is this helmet really cute (I bought the purple), it's functional and comfortable as well! This helmet gives me peace of mind for head protection; it stays securely in place through riding waves and dunking underwater, it offers sun protection, and the ear protection is a bonus. Reef Ranger 1.0 - Surf Hat + Protection - XL Tried it out five surf days in Ericeira, Portugal. Perfect fit and comfortable. Dries quickly.
Seeme well made but the big issue is that the protection is only for the top and side of your head. Any impact from the back would not be protected at all.

As a brand new surf protection product, we started with the certified insert available on the market, which covers the front, top and sides of the head where most surf impacts occur. This allowed us to launch with a tested and CE/EN812 certified product from day one.

Reef Ranger 1.0 - Surf Hat + Protection - M/L I think it’s a great hat helmet but the brim could be a bit more solid /stiff so it does not flop around when in the wind, when using it for Wing-foiling

Reef Ranger 1.0 - Surf Hat + Protection - M/L Just spent one week with my Smile Surf Helmet for wing foiling in Sardegna and I just love the helmet. It’s so light that you don’t really feel it during foiling but the best of all, at least for me, is the shade it gives your head and especially your eyes. I tried surf goggles and sun glasses in the past, lost or destroyed some of them, but with the Surf Helmet one’s eyes are always in the shade. It is so relaxing for the eyes. Amazing. Can’t wait to get back on the water again with my Surf Helmet.

Bundle - Reef Ranger + Extra Hat Cover I purchased the smile Bundle Reef Ranger for my husband. He loves them. He is an Flightboarder and these hat/helmets protect his head and also give him protection from the sun. These are such a great option to his other helmets. Good work to Smile for making a helmet that also looks cool and not like a helmet. I hope all who enjoy watersports invest in this product that helps protect their heads and faces.

Reef Ranger 1.0 - Surf Hat + Protection - M/L Great hat, I love the colour and it's comfortable. If I could improve it, I would add a stiffer brim on the front. It kept falling down over my eyes every time I came up from a turtle roll or a wave went over my head!

The front brim was intentionally designed with medium stiffness to stay flexible for smooth duck dives while still holding its shape. That said, we truly appreciate your input on preferring a stiffer feel, and we’re definitely taking note of this for future improvements.

Reef Ranger 1.0 - Surf Hat + Protection - M/L Love the product for sure. Although it is a bit tight in the front for me. No big deal my head is is just a weird size.
Kyle, thanks for the love! If that front-tightness persists, try rotating the inner shell 180°, some of our riders find that creates the perfect custom fit for 'unique' head shapes!

Reef Ranger 1.0 - Surf Hat + Protection - M/L Afortunadamente no me he golpeado, pero lo estoy usando todos los días en un viaje que estoy haciendo por Indonesia y es muy cómodo para surfear, no me molesta nada ni para duckdive. Si te queda un poco grande se puede ajustar con una goma que lleva en el interior, también tiene dos botones para doblar los laterales hacia arriba. Además te protege mucho del sol en la cara y queda muy bonito
